Honeymoon in Iceland … off we go!

Honeymoon in Iceland … off we go!

Why Iceland?

The vast majority of people, choose for their honeymoon an exotic warm place with excellent rates as a destination for the most special holiday in their lives. Honeymoon in Iceland? Yes, you gauged well, it’s about our honeymoon, or did you expect this is just a regular excursion? 🙂

Our thoughts fly away to a more venturesome alternative but nonetheless exotic. Iceland is a country of contrasts, with surprises at every step, a space of mirage that makes it one of the most special corners of Europe.

For us, Iceland is more than a destination, it represents a challenge, a barrier to cross, a beautiful dream through which we would mark our very first steps into marriage on one hand, and on the other to pass on the emotions of the traveler fascinated by his own journey, of the story teller impressed by his own story and of the photographer amazed by his own photography.

When?

One of the main attractions Iceland has to offer is the stunning view of the Aurora Borealis, a phenomenon that is visible on the night sky between September and March. For this trip we choose September so we can hike by day and photograph by night.

How?

One of the special things about Iceland is the Ring Road – Iceland’s main road that encircles the country, projecting the very symbol of marriage – the ring. Starting with the capital, Reykjavik, we will head East with a small Happy Camper, following the coast road that will take us on a trip of 2500 km in 12 days, and will always keep us in the middle of nature!
